Deerpark Golf Event
Jul 26, 2010
Despite the threat of a deluge, from the grey and menacing clouds overhead, the participants (to a player) in the inaugural Tyrone Association golfing 'classic' hailed a great day on the 10th July in the Deerpark Hotel, Howth. After having completed the short course of 12 holes, the golfers were treated to a very welcome and tasty meal in the hotel itself, which was followed by the prize-giving for the best team, best female golfer, best male golfer and the nearest to the pin on the 12th. Although ex-County football star Noel Mc Ginn had kindly agreed to present the prizes, he categorically assures us that that had no bearing on the fact that his team won both the best team award and the nearest to the pin (and we believe him!).
