John Mc Elhinney was born in Strabane and spent is earlier years studying at Barrack Street Primary School and St Colman's Boys Secondary School before joining the Irish Air Corps, in Baldonnel, Co Dublin, where he qualified as an Avionics Technician in 1986.John is currently living in central Dublin and works in Computing, with Oracle databases primarily, for over 20 years now. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, learning languages, travelling the world, and cryptic crosswords. John was elected President of Tyrone Association Dublin in April 2015 and had been Chairman since 2008.
